Evangelical Library, Colombo, Sri Lanka God's word and practical innovation...

In our last news story, we brought you news from Pastor Enock’s mission trip to some of the more remote villages of Malawi and Mozambique. Closer to home, Pastor Enock brings us news from the Maoni Orphanage. The pastor and his team from Christian Resource Ministries are longstanding recipients of Biblical teaching and preaching materials from the Trust.

“I am so humbled to give to you this report about God has been doing here in Malawi, especially at Maoni orphanage," writes Pastor Enock. "Praise the Lord! All 849 children now have blankets and mosquitoes nets.”

The pastor describes the joy of the team and the children who will be so much better protected against Malaria and other disease. For many of the children, they also received a blanket to sleep under for the very first time.

“We are just wordless to see all our children in class this term with all having their school materials,” continues Pastor Enock. “Thank you so much for your prayer that has made all this possible.”

The team were delighted to report that all the home-based children received their school fees and school materials in time, while all the teachers at the Maoni Orphanage School now have full PPE.

“Not one of our students was set back from school because of school fees or materials, we are just so thankful to almighty God for helping us in this way.”

The pastor was also able to give an update on the orphanage farm. Not only are the children and staff benefiting from this, but also the villagers from the surrounding area too. And because of the plentiful supply of water, even the growing of different fruits has been going well.

The orphanage’s fish pond has gone from strength to strength and the now plentiful supply of fish means a better balanced diet for the children. The success of this has led to plans for a second fish pond and water is being pumped into this.

The irrigated maize has also thrived and the villages are coming buying from the orphanage to sell in the surrounding markets.

“Once again thank you so much for all your prayers and support at the Maoni Orphanage,” exclaims Pastor Enock.

It is so wonderful to hear to hear such heartening tales from those we serve. Our thoughts and prayers are with pastor Enock and the team as they support the Maoni Orphanage by helping to bring both God's word and practical innovation.
