It has been a while since we brought you news from Bishop Enock in Malawi, but we are delighted to report that the team from Christian Resource Ministries have been on the road again.
"Greetings, once again, from Malawi in the name of our Lord and Saviour King Jesus Christ. God is good," writes Bishop Enock. "We had a successful 4th evangelistic trip and we are so thankful for all your prayers that have made this trip possible. May God be with you all always."
"We were able to visit all villages including those new ones by God’s grace, but we failed to show the Jesus movie in the last three villages due to the problem we had with our projector." The team regularly show a film about Jesus, innovatively using an old projector, generator and makeshift screen.
It was a busy trip, as the team were able to distribute Christian resources, pray for villagers and welcome those coming to God for the first time. Much time was devoted to teaching the villagers how to study the word of God. The team ran mentoring and Bible study groups, with participants encouraged to present feedback on their findings.
"God was with us and we have seen many things happening in this trip and we are amazed by God’s doing," the Bishop continues. "We saw and witnessed 812 (people) joining the big family."
As usual, the Bishop has accompanied his words with a series of vibrant photos of the trip.
As the team arrive and begin to unload supplies and provisions, prayers are said for those coming forward.
The broken projector did not stop the congregation from enjoying some group worship, before everyone split into study groups.
There was plenty of time for small group Bible study and findings were discussed at great length.
Where possible, groups were invited to present their findings. Meanwhile, many gave their own testimonies.
Finally, villagers were presented with Bibles and Christian teaching materials.
Many were also blessed with Bible commentaries in Chichewa.
The team will be on the road again this year as they visit Mozambique, Nyansa and Zambezia provinces.
Our prayers go with Bishop Enock and all at Christian Resource Ministries as they continue to reach out to the very poor and remote villages of Malawi and Mozambique.
