Momentum is really building for Project Mark—our training resource based on the Gospel of Mark—in the Salima region of Malawi, and we’re excited to see what’s happening through our partnership with Starfish Malawi.
Right now, the team in Salima is working with us to train a group of local pastors who will soon be running their own sessions using the Project Mark materials. It’s a “train the trainer” model that’s all about multiplying impact—helping grassroots leaders, many without access to formal theological education, get equipped with solid, practical, Bible-based teaching. The goal? To raise up a new generation of leaders from within their own communities.
The response so far has been incredibly encouraging. The pastors have shared great feedback and fresh ideas, which have even inspired us to create new resources—like a short video that helps explain the heart and vision behind Project Mark to others who are interested.
With strong local support and growing interest, we’re now working on Volume Two of the course, which covers the rest of Mark’s Gospel. We’re also developing extra materials to support group leaders as they step into their roles.
At the moment, the training is in English—but we’re already making plans to translate it into Chichewa, which will make it even more accessible and impactful for communities across the region.
