Relevant resources for Kondoa Bible College

In Kondoa, Tanzania, the work of training church leaders continues steadily at the local Bible College, where Janeth Koshonga (pictured) serves as an evangelist and lecturer. The college is led by Principal Moses Kasichi (pictured below left), and together with the rest of the teaching staff, they are committed to equipping students for practical ministry..

Recently, the Bible school staff made specific requests for books on Ethics and Preaching in an African context. They were looking for resources that would speak directly into the realities of ministry in their own communities. 

In response, we sourced books in the United Kingdom and shipped to Kondoa, ensuring that students and lecturers alike have access to these relevant materials.

Sometimes, books written by Africans for Africans are especially important, taking into account local cultures and contexts. For those teaching and studying in Kondoa, this kind of perspective is invaluable.

All of the Bible College teachers are actively involved in local ministry, and between them they teach a wide range of courses. Their hands-on experience ensures that what happens in the classroom remains closely connected to life in the parish. 

The wider trend across Tanzanian dioceses is toward establishing more small, local colleges. This means students do not have to leave their communities for extended periods in order to study. Instead, their learning stays anchored in the realities of parish life, helping to keep it relevant, practical, and rooted in the context where they serve.
