Richard Smart returns to Uganda

Last month we received more encouraging news from longstanding Trust partner, Richard Smart. It is so good to know that Richard is continuing to put our books in the hands of those who really need them.

Richard tells us that on this trip a number of books from the Trust have proved especially popular with those pastors he has visited, and he has been able to distribute much needed titles which are particularly relevant to the ministries involved.

Amongst some of the current favourites are The Bible Student, edited by Peter Samons, Breaking the Leadership Bottleneck by Paul Weaver and The Foundations for Christian Living by Bob Gordon.

One of the journeys Richard made during his time in Uganda was to visit pastors in Kadama where he met Jane, a leader in a church in this area. Jane was delighted to be given a personal copy of Breaking the Leadership Bottleneck which resonated with her current teaching and preaching.

Meanwhile, Pastor James, who teaches in both Uganda and Tanzania uses the Swahili version of The Bible Student as part of his ministry. He feels that this will be a particular blessing in his teaching in Tanzania.

By continuing to work with pastors on the ground in Uganda, Richard is able to give us vital information on the need and relevancy of the titles we provide as part of our regular mailings.
