Kenya under coronavirus

At this time of uncertainty, hearing from our supporters and recipients, even in a short note or email, helps us to remain connected with those we serve across the world.

Recently we received a letter from Mary, a Kenyan lay reader and one of our regular recipients: 

“Once again, I wish to thank you so much for the gift of books you have entrusted me with. May God bless you so much. We like the choice of books and we study with many people, as the books help me to preach. 

I have enclosed a photo but not one of our church group because of Covid-19. Here in Kenya, we are supposed to stay a metre away from each other. It is a difficult period in the world but we believe and trust that God is going to heal our nation and others affected. 

My church is what we call a mainstream church where everything is as usual. We do not have to travel a long way for the church but we have come a long way in growing spiritually. The coming generation is doing well and we believe God is walking with us. I am a chairperson of the mission department and we are glad of some materials to enlighten Christians at this difficult season, especially as funds are short. Wishing you God’s blessing abundantly.”
