Leper hospital in lockdown

In a visit to the villages Pastor Nelson was able to bring both ‘spiritual nourishment’ and supplies of food and provisions to the local people. 

“We registered 675 persons in attendance including children. It was a great blessing to all in a time like this, where everywhere has been closed and everybody is in total lockdown,” he explained. 

Meanwhile at the leprosy hospital, the chaplain and his team brought comfort and support to the patients and staff team. Here, they were similarly able to distribute food items and offer prayers. 

“We were warmly received by the hospital management and gathered at the hospital chapel with some of the patients and their children. Due to the Covid-19, only a limited number of patients were allowed to attend the fellowship. Nevertheless, we had more than 80 people in attendance. I ministered to the congregation and an altar call was made; 25 people invited Jesus into their hearts.” 

Chaplain Nelson has asked us to keep the villagers and the leprosy hospital in our prayers.
