Prayers answered, Mauritius

Evangelical Library, Colombo, Sri Lanka

With a treasure trove of Christian resources

This week, we were encouraged to receive a heartfelt message from a pastor in Mauritius, following the recent arrival of two boxes of high-quality Christian books we had sent him.

He shared the joy and gratitude he felt upon opening the boxes, describing how deeply moved he was by the gift. The resources, he said, arrived at a moment of real need and will be of great value in his ongoing ministry work.

He explained that he had been praying for access to sound, biblically grounded materials. In earlier years, he had generously given away his entire personal library to churches, pastors, and individuals he served alongside in ministry. Although he never regretted that decision, the need to rebuild his own collection had become increasingly apparent. This delivery, he said, felt like a direct answer to prayer.

Though officially retired from full-time pastoral, apologetics, and church planting ministry, he remains active in evangelism, media, and literature work. The books will greatly enrich his personal study and offer theological depth and practical insight as he continues to serve in this new season.

He plans to keep the collection for regular use and reflection and expressed how encouraging it was to receive resources that are both theologically sound and relevant to the challenges of today’s ministry landscape. These materials, he noted, will continue to support the work he feels called to pursue.

“Thank you to everyone who made this possible,” he wrote.
