Sword of the Spirit

The gift of books

We have recently received a generous donation of 2,000 books from the Sword of the Spirit series by renowned Christian author, preacher and leadership trainer Colin Dye (pictured centre with the delivery of the books to our warehouse).

To support his teaching and training ministry, Colin has written a number of influential resources, including the widely used 12-part Sword of the Spirit series. 

Originally published by Kensington Temple for use in its Bible school, the series has since been taught internationally in countries including the UK, Finland, Sweden, Italy, Romania, Libya, Brazil, France and Sudan. 

Designed to be adaptable across cultures and settings, the course equips leaders to apply biblical principles within their own local context.

Born in Kenya in 1953, Colin trained at the Royal Ballet School in London and later danced professionally with the Royal Ballet Company. After becoming a Christian, he left ballet to study theology and worked in drug rehabilitation ministry, helping young people overcome addiction. 

Colin joined the ministry at Kensington Temple, becoming Senior Minister in 1991. His ministry grew internationally through preaching, teaching, prophecy, healing and church planting. He also founded the International Bible Institute of London to train Christian leaders.

Under his leadership, Kensington Temple developed a strong cell-based church network and expanded through satellite churches across London. 

In 2021, after 40 years in pastoral ministry, Colin and his wife, Amanda, stepped down from leadership to continue serving independently through preaching, mentoring, counselling and outreach to people from all backgrounds.
