As Christian populations of Africa continue to grow, the importance of developing the Christian leaders of the future and supporting them with sound Biblical training cannot be overstated.
Pastor Kevin from Zimbabwe recently received the following titles from the Trust and wrote to tell us about his ministry’s approach to leadership and evangelism. Pastor Kevin recognises the importance of teaching the correct Biblical messages to those he empowers to lead others. The books we sent for his ministry were Forgiveness, God's Master Key by Peter Horrobin, First Steps by Bob Gordon and Breaking the Leadership Bottleneck by Paul Weaver.
“Our ministry is heartily grateful for what you have doneâ€, writes Pastor Kevin. “We believe every one of us is a leader and therefore we hold Leaders' Training Services for the whole congregation, even those not in leadership. Through this, God has opened doors for us in rural areas and potential growth spots. God has stirred a leader in every one of us in such a way that members are opening doors for us in their houses. Our teaching that a leader is not voted for or appointed has motivated our members to prove they can lead cell groups in their neighborhoods. May God grant you freedom of movement in all the world. The Trust is really a blessing to us and may this blessing be spread in other dry places where the gospel is yet to be received.â€
Thank you to Pastor Kevin and for his atmospheric photograph of a night-time leadership service by arc light.
