Moving forward with hope

Long-time Trust recipient, Pastor Justus, wrote to us recently; his description of the situation in his part of Kenya brings into sharp focus the stark reality of life after Covid in many areas of Africa. We are privileged to be able to continue to help such pastors with teaching materials as they move forward in faith and hope.

"The church has benefited a lot from your support. Last year was a great year of evangelism. We managed to reach several local markets in our area and this year we have planned to reach more people through personal evangelism and public ministry.

We are also seeking to help those in our area with programs, for example, around women and youth ministry. Many young people dropped out of school during the coronavirus pandemic and too many young girls got pregnant at this time. The church may be of great help if it assists them to get on training courses, especially information technology, garment making, building, plumbing etc. We would love to help establish a technology college in our church compound to help these girls and boys, and single mothers particularly.

Life in our area of Kenya is also getting harder due to poor rains brought about by climate change."

The pastor has kindly included photos of church groups gathering for lunch. Meanwhile, he asks for our ongoing support and prayers for his ministry as he continues to minister to those in need through challenging times.
