Forgiveness & Leadership, Ghana

Pastor Joshua from Ghana recently wrote to share his joy at receiving books from the Trust this year. Themes on forgiveness and leadership were particularly important to him.

“Shalom Sovereign World Trust. Thank you so much for the books I received which have turned my life around completely,” he writes. “Especially on the subject of forgiveness and leadership, which I thought I knew well but it perhaps proved a shallow base of knowledge. 

I have spoken on these subjects by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit at every opportunity I have had. I have shared the messages with other pastors, the church leadership, groups in the church such as Sunday school, our youth, women, men and the elderly.” 

For so many of our recipients, the books we are able to send to them offer a vital source of culturally relevant, authentic Christian teaching. Sometimes they are the only new titles remote or impoverished pastors might have access to each year, so their importance in forming the basis for sermons, evangelism and teaching cannot be overstated.
