Meeting needs, Kenya

Pastor Protus from Kenya wrote to us last month to confirm safe receipt of his books from the Trust and we are delighted to hear how widely he is using the books across his church family. The pastor wrote to us with such infectious enthusiasm about the book choices, and how he is using them to meet the varying needs of different groups locally. Marriage and family life are a particular focus.

Dear Sovereign World Trust 

Thank you for the books you sent to me. I so appreciate The Branch Exposition of the Bible (this is a one-volume New Testament commentary by Michael Eaton). This copy of the book has really helped me understand scriptures in detail and helps me to prepare my teachings and prayers as I preach to the church. 

The other books that I have been using a lot are the The Essentials of Excellent Christian Leadership and The Essentials of an Excellent Christian Marriage (by Richard Wallis). The books came at a good time as they are mostly used to train leaders and teach couples in our community about marriage and relationships. 

The other copy I received from Sovereign World Trust is First Steps Walking with Jesus by Bob Gordon with David Fardouly. I feel this book is like a license to greatness as you walk with Jesus as an advisor. 

All of the books received have had such an impact. The Soul Ties book is used widely and borrowed by many and we used this book last year to help teach a class of teen mothers."
